About Our Chapter The Portland Maine Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals has over 40 members. Our membership represents a wide range of businesses - insurance, financial, legal, medical, education, IT, banking, engineering, manufacturing, retail and many others Over 50% of our members hold the designation of Certified Administrative Professional. Our Chapter actively supports our member's growth in the Administrative Profession with skills, system and technology trainings, networking, and mentoring at our monthly meetings. Many employers support membership in IAAP as they recognize the benefits our involvement brings to their organization. The Portland Maine Chapter meets on the last Tuesday of the month (with few exceptions) from September through May. In June and July, IAAP offers conferences and training at both the Regional and International level. Currently our monthly dinner meetings are held at MaineHealth, 110 Free Street, Portland, Maine. Networking and registration begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner, an educational program, and a short business meeting. Recent programs have included Microsoft training, Dress for Success, building dynamic web searches and successful meeting planning. Our chapter focuses on continuing education and the professional development of our members. IAAP is the world’s largest association for administrative professionals and now is the time for YOU to come and see what we have to offer! |
